Casablanca, Morocco—TDM Aerospace, a tube and duct fabricator participating in the Boeing Ecosystem formed under the 2016 MOU between Boeing and the Kingdom of Morocco, has signed a long- term agreement to produce Tubes and Ducts for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Casablanca.
Founded by US-based Homeric Enterprise Engineering (H2E) and funded by the Moroccan Aerospace Investment Company (MAIC), TDM is the first Moroccan-owned company to earn a Tier 1 contract with an aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). TDM is a low-cost, high-velocity enterprise which will produce metallic tube and duct fabrications in a new facility located in Midparc Casablanca Free Zone at Mohammed V airport. TDM is also establishing a focused supply chain in Morocco to support its operations.
According to Hicham Chraibi, president of MAIC, “TDM’s success represents a new era in Morocco’s aerospace industry development characterized by Moroccan ownership.” Designated by Morocco’s Ministry of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy as a flagship enterprise in its Stage 2 aerospace industry development, TDM joins a community of some 130 aerospace companies doing business in the Kingdom. Juergen Viehrig, chief executive officer of TDM remarked, “TDM is honored to become a member of Boeing’s supplier team and of the community of world-class aerospace companies already operating in Morocco.”
Process and product qualification are scheduled for mid-2019 with production parts available in first quarter 2020.
